I’m the kind of decorator who is never really “finished”. But, today, I felt like I put the cherry on top of my dining room area – and though I can’t guarantee I’ll never touch it again, I’m certainly feeling that it’s as finished as ever. The thing about my dining room is that because I live in Manhattan and suffer the wrath of NYC square footage, it also serves as a desk area for now. So, We keep our desktop computer here for when my assistant Hannah works in person here. I’m actually liking the way it all looks. And working from the dining room table is actually comfortable! I have always loathed furniture designed specifically for office purposes – like rolling chairs or glass topped desks. I find it nicer to create a home office space by using “living” furniture that doesn’t become an eye sore.
Back to the cherry on top: the painting I hung by Chawn Murrah. It’s beautiful. I love looking up from the computer to see it, and the blue, beige and white color palette compliments the rest of my decor wonderfully. Shop his work here.
My chairs are actually from Amazon, and though they’re a bit of a splurge, I find them to be incredibly comfortable for how stylish they are. Shop the chairs here and my white dining table here.
